Go Eco This Valentines Day – Write a Love Letter
We can learn to think how to reuse and reduse what we consume on a daily basis. Now this can mean purchasing more items in bulk so you don't have all the individual packaging. You can divide the foods up and put in reusable containers. What you are probably saying right about now is, that will take a lot more time then just putting everything away in the cabinets. You are correct living a greener lifestyle does take a bit more planning.
You will be making a list of items that you need, instead of just running off to the store when you run out of something. Speaking of running off to the store you might want to limit your trips to twice a week. Heavy shopping once and then fresh vegetables and fruits the second time. Try it out for two weeks and see how it works. It will be challenging the first week but the second week you will know you can do it. This way you save gas and money.
Since you are making a list of items you will have time to pull out the grocery ad and match up coupons to go with it. I save the envelopes the bills come in and use the backs for my list and the inside for my coupons. Sounds crazy but this saves paper!
You will see this isn't that difficult, it's not costing you anything. You will still have to shop for food and now you save a bit of money by not buying something you don't need and using coupons.
